Meeting
What is complex cultural identity, and how does it gently shape the therapeutic journey?

Reflecting on one's own cultural experience and its role in the phenomenon of understanding and misunderstanding. An analysis of a therapeutic case with an emphasis on the cultural dimension.
In therapeutic practice, cultural identity often acts as an important, though not always obvious, dimension of the process. When identity is complex, multifaceted, or conflictual, it can significantly influence both the therapeutic relationship and how the therapist and client understand (or misunderstand) each other. In this meeting, we will explore what a complex cultural identity is, how it is formed, and how it manifests in working with a client.
Meeting Format
The meeting will take place online on the Zoom platform. The format includes a theoretical part, an analysis of a therapeutic case focusing on the cultural dimension, as well as an opportunity for participants to reflect on their own cultural experience. This will allow us to relate the theoretical material to personal and professional contexts in a safe and respectful space. Participants will be able to ask questions and share their observations.
